How To Make Your Own Brochure Effective: 4 Key Things To Know
Brochures are not that expensive but they are surely not cheap to print. So when you make your own brochure, you want to make sure your brochure is designed to be effective the first time.
Planning out what you will put in your brochure ahead of time will be beneficial in the long run because you definitely don't want to forget key information.
Don't be afraid to be creative with your brochure design. Just make
sure that your brochure includes these four elements that are listed
below.
An Effective Brochure Will...
- Have a distinctive, attractive look. In order for the reader to even consider opening your brochure, it has to look interesting.
One way to do that is to create a cover that has thought provoking question like "Want to naturally relieve your aches and pains?". Or, you could use an image that makes the reader think or want to know what it's all about.
- Provide simple and useful information. This is kind of a pet peeve. Although the size of a brochure allows for a lot of information to be packed in it.... don't.
Keep in mind that a brochure should not do all the selling for you, nor
tell the life story of your business. You want to say just enough to
"wet the appetite" of the reader and lead them to want to contact you for more information.
- Educate. Don't just sell. Nobody wants to feel sold to.
So when writing your copy, speak from a perspective that makes you sound helpful. Spell out the benefits of your
product or service so that the customer knows "what's in it for me."
